In this article/video i will show you how you can steal any Color Grading and apply it to your clips and Videos using DaVinci Resolve on the iPad. Let’s say you want to use the famous Orange & Teal Look of the Transformers Movies. Yes you can even do that. And it’s super fast! Have Fun.

How to create the Color Palate from any Clip (Even Images)

If you just want to create a Color Palatte from any Shoot (Works even with Images and Screenshots) then go to Effects and apply the “Color Palette” Effect to the Clip you want to see the Color Palette.

How to steal and apply the Color Grade from any Clip and even Images

Step 1: Go to the Color Page and add a new Node. With the Icon over the Node Viewer or use the Shortcut “Option + S”.

Select the Clip you want to apply the Color Grad to and then do a right click on the clip or image you want to steal the Color Grade. (With the Apple Pencil longer Press to do the right click). Then click on “Shot Match to this Clip”.

You can use this on any Source Material even Screenshots from Google and Movies

How to copy the Orange & Teal Hollywood Color Grade

Or even if you use a Screenshot from a Movie. Like in this example i used a image from Google Search from the Movie Transformers.

Depending on your own Clips, some Effects will look good and some not so good. Play around with the settings to get your desired outcome.
