How to Remove Grain in DaVinci Resolve iPad (AI Noise Reduction)

In this article/video i will show you how to use the AI Ultra Noise Reduction in DaVinci Resolve for iPad. This is a powerful spatial denoising tool that uses AI to remove noise from your footage. Let me show you where to find it and how it works.

Where to find the AI Noise Reduction in DaVinci Resolve iPad

You find the Noise Reduction in the Motion Effects panel. If you don’t see this panel, right click on the area and you will get four different options: Camera Raw, Color Match, Motion Effects, and the RGB Mixer. Select Motion Effects.

Spatial Noise Reduction Modes in DaVinci Resolve iPad

Inside the Motion Effects panel you will find the Spatial Noise Reduction. There are different modes you can choose from: Faster, Better, Enhanced, and now also Ultra Noise Reduction. The Ultra mode is the newest and most powerful AI option for removing noise from your footage.

How to use AI Ultra Noise Reduction in DaVinci Resolve iPad

To use the Ultra Noise Reduction, select it and then click on Analyze. A reference point will appear on your footage. You can move this box to any area of your footage that you want to use as your noise reference. You can also change the size of the box. Once set, the AI will work in the background to reduce the noise based on your reference selection.
