How To animate Stills in DaVinci Resolve iPad (Fast & Easy)
In this article i show you two way how you can animate still images in DaVinci Resolve for the iPad. The first way is the standard way with keyframes. Every Editing Software has some sort of Keyframes capability to animate stuff. If you never used keyframes, then it’s a good start to learn some of the Fundation of Video Editing. But DaVinci Resolve (Desktop and even the iPad Version) has a feature that makes animations so much faster and easier and it is called Dynamic Zoom.
Pro Tip: Make your Videos Cinematic (and save a tone of time) with our Seamless Transition Pack for DaVinci Resolve iPad.

Solution 1: Use Keyframes to Animate (Slow)
![You can always use Keyframes to Animate something. That is the Standard way of creating animations.](https://exlima.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_9098-1024x715.webp)
![To Create Keyframes, go with the Playhead to the start Position on the Timeline. Select the Clip and open the Inspector. Click the dots for the values you want to create animations. In my example its Position and Zoom.](https://exlima.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_9099-1024x716.webp)
![Go to the second position of your animation with the Playhead on the Timeline. Change the Zoom and Position values. You will see that the Dots are highlighted red.](https://exlima.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_9100-1024x710.webp)
![To reset all keyframes click this little icon in the top right.](https://exlima.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_9101-1024x710.webp)
It’s good to know how you can use Keyframes. But the process is slow and can take alot of time. For just animating images, there is a faster way:
Solution 2: Use Dynamic Zoom to create animation (Fast)
![Activate Dynamic Zoom. Click the Settings icon under the viewer. A new row of settings shows up. Go to the third icon, thats the settings for Dynamic Zoom.](https://exlima.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_9102-1024x722.webp)
With the Dynamic Zoom Feature you don’t even have to create Keyframes anymore. You will see two coloured rectangle in the viewer. The green rectangle is the start position of your clip and the red rectangle the end position. That’s it done. You can even change the lengh of the clip and it will alway re-adjust the animaton.

Use Dynamic Zoom Presets (Super Fast)
![Did you know, that there are presets for dynamic zoom? With these you can create super fast animations with one click.](https://exlima.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_9103-jpeg.webp)
