How To Transcribe Audio in DaVinci Resolve iPad

In this Article/Video i will show you how you can use the amazing Transcribe Audio Feature from DaVinci Resolve even on the iPad. With that you can create Transcriptions even from source material and you can edit your timeline based on words and sentence you highlight. Let me show you how this works.

How does Transcribe Audio work in DaVinci Resolve iPad?

Transcribe Audio will highlight each word while playing the clip.

Right Click on the Media and choose Transcribe Audio
To add the Transcribe Audio in the CUT PAGE right Click (longer press with Pencil) on the Media and choose Transcribe Audio. You don’t even need any of the other pages from DaVinci.

It will initialise and analyse your media.

When Done, you see a window with all the transcribed Audio
When Done, you see a window with all the transcribed Audio. From here you could simply export the text to have a Transcript.
If you click play it will highlight each word.

How To Edit your Timeline using the Transcribe Audio from DaVinci Resolve?

You can mark sentence and place this part to your timeline.

This feature gives a complete new dimension to editing your videos. Image you are editing a speech or a Podcast. You don’t even need to look through the video anymore. You could straight mark the take where the speaker says the important part and place it to the timeline. You can build an entire Timeline with cuts just by using the Transcribe Audio Window.

You simply Highlight the sentence and words you want to add and click the add icon. And only the snipped from what you marked will be in the timeline. After that you can highlight a different part and add that to the timeline. This is an incredible way of editing in DaVinci Resolve and we have it even on the iPad!
