How to check iPad battery health (EASY WAY)
In this article/video today i will show you how you can find out the battery health of your iPad. Because the problem is, unlike on the iPhone where you see the battery health in the settings, this is missing on most iPad’s (Funny my new iPad Mini 7 actually shows it, but my iPad Pro M1 does not). But we have a way to see the battery health, even if the setting is missing.

Why do we need to know the battery capacity?

For example, if purchased a used iPad its good to know how many cycles and in what condition the battery is. Or even if you want to get a battery replacement through apple, they only do this if your battery maximum capacity is below 80%.

Step 1: Turn On the iPad Analytics Data

In order to make this work, you have to at least share the analytics data for one day. Im usually one that does no like to share my data, but without we can’t go to the next step. So if you don’t share analytics like me, turn it on. Let it run and create the analytics file for one day and come back to the next step.
Step 2: Open the most recent analytics data file

Step 3: Read the Battery Health sats (2x Ways)
In this article here from Tom’s Guide he shows how you can manually read and convert the battery health data from the analytics file. You have to scroll all the way down to find the values. If you want to do it like Tom explains, read his article. But there is another method which is faster and easier.
There is a Siri Shortcut that reads and converts the battery health stats into a text file. This is what i also show in my video. You can find the Shortcut here: Battery Stats Shortcut
Tip: If this is the first time you use Siri Shortcuts on your iPad restart your iPad. Sometimes the Shortcuts only will show after the restart.
Tip: If you don’t know how to get the other pages in DaVinci Resolve (FUSION, FAIRLIGHT, EDIT) on the iPad read this article first: How to UNLOCK ALL PAGES in DaVinci Resolve for iPad Pro
