Epic Games Luncher not working on Mac? [Easy Fix]

In this article/video i will show you how to fix the error message you get when you try to launch the Epic Games Launcher on Mac. Apple blocks it by default, but the fix is very simple. Let me show you how.

How to Install Epic Games Launcher on Mac

First go to the Epic Games website and search for the Epic Games Store Launcher. Download the Mac version. This will give you the Epic Installer DMG file. Double click on it and simply drag and drop the app to your Applications folder.

After you installed the app, try to launch the Epic Games Launcher from your Applications. You will probably get this error message:

“Apple could not verify Epic Games Launcher.app is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromises your privacy.” And the only options you see are “Done” or “Move to Bin”. That’s not what we want. So let’s fix this.

How to Fix Epic Games Launcher “App Not Opened” Error on Mac

Go to your Mac System Settings and scroll down until you see Privacy & Security. Then scroll all the way down to the Security section. You will see “Allow applications from App Store and known developers”. And right below that you will see a message that says “Epic Games Launcher was blocked to protect your Mac”.

Simply click “Open Anyway”. It will ask you the same question again with “Move to Bin” and “Done”, but now you also have the option “Open Anyway”. Click that. Confirm with your fingerprint or password. And that’s it.

The Epic Games Launcher is now launching on your Mac. That’s all there is to it.
