How To Reverse Clip in DaVinci Resolve iPad

In this article i will show you two methods how you can make a clip reverse in DaVinci Resolve for iPad, like they used a lot in the Movie TENET from Christopher Nolan. We will work with the clip speed in both the CUT PAGE and the EDIT PAGE. Have fun learning.

1. Create a Reverse Clip in the CUT Page of DVR iPad

On the Cut Page select the clip you want to make a reverse clip and right click (longer press with the Apple Pencil) and go to the Speed icon.

This will open these additional settings in the viewer window and jump straight into the Clip Speed. Btw you can open these settings also with the settings icon under the viewer (red arrow in the image)

To make the clip into a reverse clip you have to change the Speed value from “1.00” to negative “-1.00“.

2. Create a Reverse Clip in the EDIT Page of DVR iPad

On the Edit Page select the clip and right click and choose “Change Clip Speed….”.

This will open a new window where you can change the clips speed and do all kind of things like for example the Freeze Frame. To simply show the clip in reverse click the check box next to “Reverse Speed”.
