When I find a better PlugIn I will also place it here in this Articel. If you already know one let us all know in the comments. Cheers Daniel

Hi, Daniel, and many thanks for exposing such a pathetic scam!

Not only GADWP 6.0 update is awful, but also very intrusive, while the mercantile policy of ExactMetrics* is even worse.

By the way, we have replaced this plugin by https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-site-kit/

    😅

In fact, and following the review (see copy below), our TWO WordPress accounts have been DISABLED without warning! 😤

“GADWP 6.0 is awful & the mercantile policy of ExactMetrics is even worse! | WordPress.org”
“And many thanks to Daniel Kovacs* for exposing such a pathetic scam!”

Would Syed Balkhi (founder of Awesome Motive Inc., the company behind WPBeginner & CEO of ExactMetrics) benefit from particular protections?

“our TWO WordPress accounts have been DISABLED without warning”

Well, of course they were. Because you used two accounts. Don’t do that. Don’t sockpuppet. The forums and review systems are there for you to leave reviews about things, not to attack others, not to harass people, not to “expose” things.

A review should be about the plugin. If you don’t like it, then that’s fine, say what you don’t like. But be civil, use proper language, don’t post links to elsewhere, and don’t attack other people because you are unhappy. And yes, most importantly, don’t create extra fake accounts in order to brigade and downvote things multiple times.

Behave like a grown up and your words will be allowed.

@Otto – Instead of blaming others indiscriminately, just know that as being a media, it is normal that each administrator has a distinct WordPress account.

All the more so since, I have ONLY post ONE review about the GADWP 6.0:

“GADWP 6.0 is awful & the mercantile policy of ExactMetrics is even worse!” (being the TITLE)
“And many thanks to Daniel Kovacs* for exposing such a pathetic scam!” (being the actual review)

            So, what is the problem?!

I switched to GAinWP it is based on the code of GADW and looks very much the same as the pre v6 of GADW 🙂

Hi, actually there is a better plugin : there was a fork of GADWP a while back, called GAinWP. The fork was made when Exact Metrics first started storing its users auth token on their server, giving them de facto access to their Google data if they wanted to.

GAinWP is exactly as GADWP was 9 months ago (in may 2019). Works the same, has the same features, only the auth stoken storage differs (the info in stored in _your_ database, not externally, as it should be). It only takes 5 minutes to uninstall exact metrics, remove its permission from your google account (yes you should do that) and install GAinWP instead

Hi guys, here another affected by the changed of Exactmetrics. Thank you for posting the older version of the plugin. I’ve made a research, and GainWP was updated 2 weeks ago 🙂

I made the mistake of upgrading the 5.x plugin to the latest and discovered the hard way that everything is now charged. Now trying to rollback to the older plugin, but getting an error when trying to reauthorise the plugin. “Error 400: invalid_request”.
Now looking for a way to reinstate GA tag code simply.
