How To Use Edit Trim Mode in DaVinci Resolve iPad

In this article i will show you how you can use the Edit Trim Mode from DaVinci Resolve even on the iPad. This feature allows you to extend a clip (or multiple clips) while the rest of the timeline keeps the same and just moves accordingly to the left or right. Watch the Video to see what i mean. I also will show you the tradition way in the Edit Page (Works on iPad as well), and how you can do the same in the Cut Page.

How to use Edit Trim Mode in the EDIT PAGE

Open the Edit Page of DaVinci Resolve and toggle on the Edit Trim Mode Icon.

When you grab the cut line in between clips, make sure to select the line on the end of a clip. You can also select the middle of both ends. Then you just change the cut position for both. But when you select the end, you can only move one clips while the rest moves accordingly on the timeline.

How to use Edit Trim Mode in the CUT PAGE

In the Cut Page you don’t even have to activate the Edit Trim Mode. You simply have to select the End of a Clip. You will see this icon on your curser. Then just move the clip.
