How To Export Project Archive in DaVinci Resolve iPad

In this article i will show you how you can create a Project Archive in DaVinci Resolve for the iPad. Let’s say you have your Footage in the current project all over the place. Some in the Apple Photos App. Some from the Internal Storage. Some from your SSD. In Short you didn’t care and everything is messy. What if you want to create a Backup with all the Media in just one location. For example on your external SSD so that you can bring it to a different iPad or Desktop and you don’t have to worry if you have all the necessary Footage to keep working on that Project. I got ya. Step 1: Open the Project Manager and export a Project Archive…

Go to the Project Manager and right click on your Project and select “Export Project Archive…”.

Step 2: Choose the location for the Project Archive

Choose the Location where you want to save the Project Archive to. In my example a Folder on my external SSD.

In this Step you can also rename the Project Archive. Simply click on the Name next to the Save As.

Step 3: Check the Media Files and Render Cache Files and say Okay

In this Step you can Keep the Settings as is and click on Ok.

Sometimes on the iPad there will be an ERROR Message. In that case click Cancel. And Repeat the Steps until the last step.

In order to solve the ERROR, in this step you have to click “Browse” and go to your path again. Don’t ask me why, but this solves the Error.

After Okay, you will see that it will create the Project Archive. It can take some time, so go and grab a Coffee. Done.
